Pixie Dust

After some initial disappointment at not staying at Grand Floridian in a 2 bedroom, we are excited to be pixie dusted to stay 5 nights at Copper Creek Villas in a cabin. We are told our room had engineering issues. They saw our disappointed kids and also offered 2 nights at any time in any Deluxe Resort for a future stay and a small credit on our account. The cast members took great care of us and had all of our luggage and cold groceries moved over while we headed to the parks.

Awesome, I love the cabins at Copper Creek. Probably my favorite 2 bedroom on property.

Pretty awesome substitute by the cast members to get you in a cabin. While I get it may not be The Grand, that's not a bad trade off especially with the 2 nights toward a future stay and credits thrown in!

That is an amazing upgrade. We love the Grand, but would take this in a heartbeat. Well done Disney!

Yep, we loved WL and will be looking for a contract there this spring. The free upgrade is not so "free" anymore! Hopefully the ROFR monster doesn't start up anytime soon.

Have not stayed there yet. One of the few WDW Resort locations yet to visit.

We experienced a similar situation that was sprinkled with Pixie Dust. We had a 2 bedroom villa reserved at the Grand Floridian Villas and I received a call on our check in day. They asked if we wouldn't mind moving to a 2 bedroom club level suite rather than the villa. They said the main difference would be that we wouldn't have a kitchen but we would have the club level amenities instead. We decided to take their offer and WOW the suite was just beautiful. It was on the top floor of the Sago Key building and had vaulted ceilings. The access to the club level was wonderful and has spoiled us. We really enjoyed our stay.

I never did find out why they wanted to move us - I don't know if our original room was not available, or if they just wanted to give someone a little Pixie Dust surprise. I would have really liked a Copper Creek Cabin just as well!
